On the day of their debut, LE SSERAFIM held a showcase to promote their mini-album. In addition to performance, LE SSERAFIM was interviewed by representatives from media outlets.
There, Kim Garam's school violence allegations were brought to attention.

Leader Kim Chaewon quickly shut down the question, responding:
"We are currently discussing the situation with the company. We are responding in accordance with the procedures, so there are parts that we are cautious about speaking directly here. We will have the opportunity to clarify more in the future."

Kim Garam appeared to struggle with the question but also responded to the reporter's question. She said:

Many took this as Kim Chaewon supporting Kim Garam amidst the sensitive question. However, many South Koreans were upset over the situation. Some brought up how Kim Chaewon's rank in IZ*ONE was manipulated, meaning she should not have debuted with the project group.
