Who is CNBLUE Jung Yong Hwa?
Jung Yong Hwa is a South Korean singer and a member of FNC Entertainment's pop rock band CNBLUE. Jung Yong Hwa officially made his debut as the group's main vocalist, guitarist, rapper, leader, and face of CNBLUE on August 19, 2009, in Japan, and later on January 14, 2010, in South Korea with the lead single "I'm a Loner."
Prior to his official debut, Jung Yong Hwa and his fellow CNBLUE members traveled to Japan to study music. During their studies, the members did street performances and released independent albums up until their Japanese debut in the same year.

1. Jung Yong Hwa was on 'We Got Married'

In February 2010, a month after his Korean debut, Jung Yong Hwa starred in the second season of the popular reality-variety program "We Got Married," a show in which he pretends to be a married couple with Girls' Generation member Seohyun for episodes 40 to 91.

In fact, following their appearance on the show, Jung Yong Hwa revealed he wrote the rap lyrics of CNBLUE's song "Love Light" while thinking of Seohyun.
2. Jung Yong Hwa is not good at expressing his feelings

Although Jung Yong Hwa is a singer, he has revealed in the past that he is actually not good at expressing what he really feels verbally. However, he makes up for that when he writes lyrics, in which he feels like his emotions and thoughts are better expressed musically.
3. Jung Yong Hwa is the prankster of CNBLUE

Though Jung Yong Hwa is the oldest member and the leader of the group, he is actually quite the jokester and prankster of CNBLUE. In fact, he earned the nickname "Yong Choding" because of it. "Choding" refers to an "elementary school kid" but is used as a term for someone, mostly an adult, who acts like a kid. But despite being the group's prankster, he is also known for taking good care of his younger members.
4. Jung Yong Hwa is an actor

Like plenty of idols, Jung Yong Hwa also ventured into acting. He has so far acted in dramas such as "You're Beautiful," "Heartstrings," "Marry Him If You Dare," "The Three Musketeers," "The Package," and "Sell Your Haunted House." He also starred in the Hong Kong-Chinese film "Cook Up a Storm" and is set to appear in the upcoming web series "It's You Without an End."
