On July 14, Korean media outlets reported that aespa's "Girls" have taken the No. 1 spot on the Circle Weekly Album Chart for the 28th week (July 3 to 9) with an impressive total of 1,426,487 copies sold. This figure is close to their stock pre-orders of 1.61 million.

With the mini-album reaching 1.4 million copies in its first week of release, "Girls" has now become the first album by any fourth-generation K-pop girl group to become a million-seller on Circle Chart.

aespa's "Girls" has also now set the record for the highest first-week sales by any girl group in Circle Chart history. Notably, it took the album just two days to hit the one-million mark since it dropped on the 8th.

Other than that, "Girls" is now the second album by a K-pop girl group to become a million-seller on Circle Chart. It is also the second best-selling album by a K-pop girl group on the chart in history- following BLACKPINK's "THE ALBUM," which has sold 1,511,526 copies.
The second best-selling K-pop girl group album was previously TWICE's "Formula of Love," which has cumulative album sales of 894,481 copies.

On the list of top five best-selling girl group albums on Circle Chart, aespa has now secured two spots: "Girls" at No. 2 and "Savage" at No. 4 with 739,267 copies sold so far.

Furthermore, aespa's total album sales on Circle Chart have reached 2.1 million copies. The sum consists of the group's sales with just their two mini-albums, "Savage" and "Girls." This makes them the fourth best-selling girl group on the chart, bested only by TWICE, Red Velvet, and BLACKPINK.

Meanwhile, aespa will appear on Mnet's "M Countdown" today, as well as on MBC's "Show! Music Core" on the 16th, to perform their new title song, "Girls."

On July 8 alone, "Girls" sold 806,891 copies. As a result, they smashed not only their first-week sales record of 276,877 copies (set by their first mini-album "Savage") but also a new record for the highest first-day sales by any female K-pop artist in Hanteo history. The previous record was held by BLACKPINK's "THE ALBUM," which sold 589,310 copies on Oct. 2, 2020.
Including boy groups, aespa is now the fourth top-selling K-pop group on the first day, following BTS, SEVENTEEN, and TXT.

Moreover, aespa is now the female K-pop artist with the highest first-week sales in Hanteo history. "Girls" broke the initial record of 736,221 copies set by BLACKPINK Lisa's "LALISA." (The previous record for girl groups belonged to BLACKPINK's "THE ALBUM," which sold 689,066 copies.)
aespa's "Girls" went on to hit one million sales on Hanteo as of July 13, making aespa the first K-pop girl group to become a million-seller in just one week. As of writing, the mini-album has sold 1,464,749 copies on Hanteo.
