Nevertheless, the subject of family does get brought up every now in then in K-pop songs. These songs usually express gratitude, have a story to share, or a bit of both. 2. Kim Sejeong - 'Flower Way'

When former gugudan member Kim Sejeong made her debut, she decided to mark her milestone by dedicating her solo debut song to her mother.

In her song "Flower Way," Kim Sejeong talks about the hardships her mother faced to bring her up into the blooming daughter that she is today. For that, she promises to return the favor by making sure her mother's path is always blooming as well.

3. WINNER Song Mino feat. BIGBANG Taeyang - 'Fear'

One of the biggest motivations in life can be our parents, as expressed by WINNER member Song Mino.

In his song "Fear," which featured BIGBANG's Taeyang and was initially performed on "Show Me The Money 4," the rapper talks about motivating himself to train hard every day to ensure an easier future for his family. His hard work and restlessness would translate to his parents' and siblings' comfort.

4. BTOB - 'Father'

Fathers are usually seen as the one who has to remain strong in the family, which leads them to hide often their weaknesses and concerns from their spouse and children.

In BTOB's song "Father," the group highlights this behavior and express their sadness at not being able to realize it sooner. In the song's lyrics, BTOB hopes it is not too late for them to express their appreciation for their fathers.

5. BTS J-Hope - 'MAMA'

There are many cases in the K-pop industry wherein idols choosing to become a trainee was a decision not supported by their parents.

But fortunately for J-Hope, his mother believed in his talents and was with him every step of the way to see his rise as a successful artist worldwide. As a gift, J-Hope expresses his gratitude and dedicates his success to his mother in "MAMA."
