'Soshi Tam Tam' Episode 8: SNSD Reveals Why They Chose 'FOREVER 1' as Title Track

'Soshi Tam Tam' Episode 8: SNSD Reveals Selection Process of Title Track 'FOREVER 1'
On August 23, JTBC's entertainment show "Soshi Tam Tam" Episode 8 (last episode) aired, wherein Girls' Generation members gathered in one place ahead of their comeback.
In this broadcast, the eight-member group revealed why they selected "FOREVER 1" as the title track of their 7th studio album of the same name. Hyoyeon explained:
"When we choose a song, we usually receive it from the outside or choose it within it, but this song was written with a theme from the beginning."
Sooyoung then said that they actually chose the track while thinking that it was going to be the second "Into the New World." Coincidentally, it was also composed by Kenzie.
Tiffany shared:
"We visited Kenzie-unnie in person and asked her to write it."
YoonA then revealed that they didn't hear it at all prior to selection but when they heard "FOREVER 1," Seohyun stated:
"It was just one pick. It was so good that I got goosebumps as soon as I heard it."
YoonA attested to it, adding:
"As soon as I heard it, I thought, 'This is the title track.' [...] I always think, 'If the members sing this song, it will be different,' compared to when I hear the guide. I think I will feel emotional when (the members' voices) harmonized."

Members Taeyeon, Sunny and Tiffany agreed as well, emphasizing that the song "feels like a festival" and "something that will mark a finale." Maknae Seohyun concluded:
"It sounds girlish, but it feels different from what we've done so far. So I love it."
Following sharing of opinions, all the members decided on "FOREVER 1" as the title song.
Meanwhile, Girls' Generation made their much-awaited return to the music scene on August 5, by releasing their 7th full-length album "FOREVER 1" to mark their 15th anniversary.

SNSD Expresses Gratitude to SONEs
In "Soshi Tam Tam" Episode 8, the "Gee" singers also thanked SONEs for loving them consistently from their debut to their 15th anniversary. Yuri said:
"All the members are in different places, but it is SONEs who made it possible to gather and dream a new dream again."
Sooyoung added:
"You (fans) were the driving force of Girls' Generation and we worked hard on it with the desire to release a new song quickly."
Tiffany said:
"We were able to come this far thanks to our fans' trust and love until the end. Thank you for protecting Girls' Generation."
Seohyun and Yoona said went on:
"Thank you for shining us on the side. I can't wait to meet my fans on the stage."
As the program ended, the members defined what Girls' Generation is for them:
"It's fate. How did we meet? How are we still together? This is a miracle and a destiny in itself. They are friends and family who can always be trusted. SNSD is my underwear (it's essential), they are like a variety gift package. SNSD is my soul, my faith, my country."
