Super Junior Siwon Reveals He Isn't Good Eating Spicy Food

Recently, Super Junior member Siwon appeared on the November 6 episode of the popular SBS reality program My Little Old Boy. In this episode, it showed the idol-actor as he moves to Hongcheon in the Gangwon Province to film for his new project, the ENA drama Love Is For Suckers.

In particular, Siwon can be seen spending his time by having a meal with his co-star and on-screen romantic interested, Lee Da Hee.

As the two were having their meal together, the Super Junior member explained the reason for him choosing their lunch menu of tteokbeokki.

"Lee Da Hee said that she likes tteokbokki, so I prepared tteokbokki," Siwon said.

Siwon then showed off how much of a gentleman he is by opening the packaged snacks on his own to make sure that the food would not spill and stain on Lee Da Hee's clothes. He also made hearts flutter when he continued showing his manners by wiping down a soda can with his shirt before handing it over to the actress.

After a while of eating tteokbokki, Siwon couldn't help but point out that the food was "so spicy." Hearing this, Lee Da Hee teased the idol, saying, "You are not good at eating spicy food, right?"

To this, Siwon just responded by saying, "It really stimulates my desire to win."

Siwon Halted His Broadcast Filming Because of a Spicy Chili Pepper

Siwon then shares with the actress how the tteokbokki's spicy taste reminded him of the time when he ate the world's hottest chili pepper in an episode of Explorers of the Human Body in the past. In that episode, Siwon had tried out a ghost pepper, which is also known as bhut jolokia.

"Whie filming for 'Explorers of the Human Body,' I once ate India's hottest chili pepper. I still remember its name," Siwon said.

He continued to explain that at the time when they were filming the episode, Siwon had taken a bite of the ghost pepper. Upon tasting it, he reacted by saying, "It is not spicy, isn't it?" However, he ended up taking back his words as not long after, he couldn't stop laughing when the pungent and hot taste of the chili pepper immediately spread all throughout his mouth.

Siwon then recalled a hilarious incident that happened because of it. He and his fellow Super Junior members ended up putting their filming on hold all because they accidentally forgot to wash their hands while using the bathroom!

"At the time, the [Super Junior] members and I went straight to the bathroom without washing our hands after touching the [ghost] pepper. We couldn't film [the show] for 10 minutes," Siwon revealed, making Lee Da Hee gasp in surprise.

Although the incident was rather sad, Siwon, Lee Da Hee, and the viewers couldn't help but laugh at the way the Super Junior member expressed how hot and spicy the ghost pepper was.
