MONSTA X Gets 0 Vote In a Popularity Survey Held Among Primary Students

The popularity of MONSTA X among students is drawing attention.

On December 10, a Monbebe (MONSTA X fan) posted a result of a survey conducted among primary school students held face to face.

In the photo, there are papers laid down on a table containing photos of K-pop groups such as BTS, BLACKPINK, SEVENTEEN, IVE, (G)I-DLE, NewJeans, Red Velvet, MONSTA X, ASTRO and more.

Apparently, the voting mechanic is simple. The students just have to put a sticker on the paper where their preferred artists were and that's it!

As a result, the popularity of IVE, (G)-IDLE, BTS and BLACKPINK were realized, the Top 4 groups who earned the most stars. IVE seemed to rank No. 1, thanks to their hits, "Love Dive" and "After Like."

Other groups such as SEVENTEEN, Red Velvet, NewJeans, ASTRO and more, followed.

But the main highlight of the photo is MONSTA X. Unfortunately, the group is the only artist with a clean paper, which means they earned 0 votes.

Upon post, the photo containing the result immediately circulated in online communities. In a trending post which amassed about 76k views, a netizen wrote:

Eventually, this result also became a hot topic among K-pop fans, especially MONBEBEs, the fandom of the group.

But instead of comforting the group for not gaining any stickers from the students, the fandom instead teased their favorite idols.

• "I had no idea how precious 2PM was when I was in primary school as well, protect MONSTA X at all cost."
• "HAHAHAHAHAHAHA yes, they don't know (MONSTA X)... yet."
• "I'm a MONBEBE, but if an elementary school student likes MONSTA X, I'm more worried about it."
• "If a primary student likes MONSTA X, that's a bit..."
• "MONSTA X is cool, MONSTA X is the best, but yes... you don't have to them for now."

Apparently, fans were teasing and blaming MONSTA X for not having a children-friendly concept or a song that will suit kids who are in their teens yet.

Indeed, MONSTA X is actually a famous boy group, who is notable for numerous songs such as, "DRAMARAMA," "Love Killa," "HERO," "Beautiful," and more.

Due to their more mature, sexy and strong concepts, the team is widely known among teens and adult women instead of kids.

MONBEBEs then hilariously warned elementary students, leaving comments such as:

• "MONSTA X is too strong for children. Leave it to us, the unnies HAHAHA"
• "The result might be different when you grow up hahaha."
• "MONSTA X is suited for at least high school level..."
