SF9 Rowoon Dating History: Did You Know He Had Girlfriend Before Debut?

On the Jan. 23 episode of KBS's "Happy Together" back in 2020, SF9 Rowoon guested along with Red Velvet Joy. Earlier that month, SF9 made a comeback with their first studio album "First Collection," which features the title track "Good Guy."

Following its release, "Good Guy" swept first places on multiple Korean music shows and music charts. In fact, this song earned the boy group their first-ever music show trophy in their career.

Because of the success of "Good Guy," the "Happy Together" cast asked Rowoon where the inspiration behind the song came from.

In the process of answering, SF9 Rowoon recalled his past relationship, revealing that he had a girlfriend before his debut and what kind of boyfriend he was to that girl, who happened to be his first love.

"I had a girlfriend before I made my debut and I thought of my memories with her," the idol-actor shared. "She was my first love. She's the person I loved the most during my 24 years of life."

The cast members then asked if he was the "devoted type" and "attentive type" of boyfriend when dating, as that's what they heard. Rowoon seemingly confirmed this by responding that he didn't know he had that side to him.

SF9 Rowoon went on to share the time his ex-girlfriend was sick, saying, "When I heard she was sick, I brewed some tea and brought it to her."

What further amazed everyone was how far he had gone to deliver the tea. Because he was living near Samseong Station at the time, while her ex ex-girlfriend lived in Bundang, he had to ride a bus to reach her.

Aside from tea, the SF9 member would also bring her porridge that he made himself.

He concluded the story by saying, "Anyone would do that for the person they love."

While SF9 Rowoon revealed that he had a girlfriend before his debut, he didn't share the reason for their breakup.

SF9 Rowoon's Current Relationship Status & Ideal Type

At this time of writing, SF9 Rowoon isn't confirmed to be dating anyone. So, it can be assumed that he's currently single.

But he was once rumored to be in a relationship with his "Extraordinary You" co-star Kim Hye Hyoon, who played the role of Rowoon's girlfriend in the drama. Their intense chemistry and sweet moments behind the scenes made people suspicious that they are a couple in real life. But neither of the two stars addressed the rumor, and even their agencies stayed silent about it. So, the rumor has remained a rumor.

About Rowoon's ideal type, he has answered this several times in the past. He prefers someone who is tall, probably because he is tall himself. He also wants someone who's bubbly and hard working, as well as kind-hearted and he can communicate well with.
