ASTRO Cha Eunwoo has risen as one of the most popular K-pop idols and among the most sought-after actors and brand models because of his impeccable visuals. Because of how handsome the idol-actor is, there's no doubt that many fans wish that he was their boyfriend.

ASTRO Cha Eun Woo Dating History: Did You Know He Had Girlfriend When He Was Trainee?

On the Dec. 13 episode of KBS's variety show "Happy Together" back in 2018, the ASTRO member shared that he hadn't had much dating experience because he made a promise with his dad.

The "Blue Flame" singer explained, "I originally made a promise with my dad [back in high school]. He told me to study hard [during high school] and then begin dating girls once I was in college. He asked me to promise not to date at all before, and I agreed."

To keep that promise, he had gone to extreme lengths such as avoiding girls who would come to his classroom between classes. "So, when they came in through the back door [of the classroom], I'd leave through the front door, and I wouldn't come back until the bell rang," he said.

Later on, ASTRO Cha Eunwoo confessed that he had a girlfriend in the past, particularly when he was still a trainee.

The idol-actor revealed that he was the first one who made the move and confessed his feelings.

"I was the one to [confess] first back then," he revealed. "I didn't know what to say or how to express my feelings. So instead, I asked her, 'What do you think of me?'"

When asked about the girl's response, the "Candy Pop Sugar" singer said, "She suddenly asked, 'What about you? What do you think of me?' So I said, 'I like you.'"

Sadly, ASTRO Cha Eunwoo and his girlfriend broke up. Their relationship didn't last for very long because his busy schedule as a trainee prevented them from seeing each other often. "We ended up dating briefly," said the idol, "but being a trainee and all, [I wasn't able to see her often]."

As mentioned above, Cha Eunwoo isn't confirmed to be dating someone as of this writing. So, we can only assume that the idol-actor is currently single.

Regarding Cha Eunwoo's ideal type. He once revealed that he wants someone who will like him and of course, he would have to like her back as well. He also prefers a girl who smiles often and who 's a wise person.

Back in 2020, Eunwoo revealed that his ideal type is Shin Min Ah during his appearance on SBS's basketball variety show "Handsome Tigers." He said, "Shin Min Ah. I recently watched JTBC's 'Chief of Staff' and got really into it. I binge watched it right away."
