On December 25, Taemin, the main dancer and maknae of "Prince of K-pop" SHINee, gave fans an unexpected Christmas gift.

On this day, the male idol took his time to update his personal Instagram.
Through his IG story, he shared clips and photos of kkoong, his pet cat enjoying playing with bubbles.
"Merry Christmas, how are you jjakgoongs? (Taemin's endearment to fans) Please wear something warm."
In the photo, Taemin's kkoongie whom he introduced as a baby kitten is now grown-up and gained a lot of weight. Shawols speculated that the "Advice" singer spent his holidays in his home with his cat, given the clips posted.
Fans also felt satisfied that he was doing fine and still updated on his recent status despite being away.
However, the fandom rejoiced even more when the word "D-100" written in the upper right corner of the post captured the eyes of Shawols.
Although it wasn't specified what it means, the fandom was quick to assume that Taemin revealed his discharge date and started a countdown.

Shawols are overjoyed, assuming that the date is in D-Day format, something fans and idols often used when anticipating a special day.
Based on this, SHINee Taemin's new discharge date will be on April 4, 2023.
Reason SHINee Taemin's Discharge Date Was Moved From November to April 2023
On May 31, 2021, SHINee Taemin joined the active duty military, serving in the Ministry of National Defense Services military band. Based on this, he was set to be discharged on November 30 this year.
However, Taemin, who entered the training center in May, was transferred to a supplementary role due to poor health while serving in a military band after completing basic military training.
SM Entertainment through an official statement revealed that Taemin has been treated for symptoms of depression and panic disorder since before, and it is known that he continued to receive treatment and counseling while serving in the military.
Unfortunately, the symptoms of depression and panic disorder worsened during his stay in the camp; the military came up with the decision that it is impossible for the idol to continue military life and treatment.
As a result, the "Famous" singer was transferred to a supplementary role to fulfill the remaining military service period as a social service worker.
Following this report, SM Entertainment hasn't released further details anymore as to when will be Taemin's new discharge date; thus, fans also did not know the exact date of discharge or discharge.
A media outlet then guessed that based on the timeline, Taemin will be out on March 2, 2023, although SM didn't confirm if this was true.
As a result, Taemin personally stepped up to deliver his D-Day notification which became a big Christmas present for fans.
