On March 15, aespa NingNing guested on Vogue China's variety segment "In The Bag," where she talked about her belongings used for daily life.
NingNing's bag contained different makeup brands, kits, perfumes, and many more. It also comprised of accessories such as her phone, sunglasses, and hair pin, which are useful when going outdoors.
During the showcasing, NingNing then arrived at the part where she introduced her eye drops, the final item. The idol revealed that the drops are for her poor eyesight.
NingNing then shared she went through surgery at a young age, particularly on her right eye. Gladly, the drops can help her eyes avoid drying.
The idol stated:
"I have eye drops because my eyesight isn't really good. I underwent surgery when I was younger. I can barely see anything in this (right) eye. This is a secret."
"So, I bring eye drops with me to make sure my eyes aren't too dry and to protect them."
When their fandom MYs learned about this, they couldn't help but express their shock and worry for NingNing in a forum.
Fans conveyed that NingNing must've had a difficult time performing, since stages require flashy lights, and could affect her eyesight.

On October 31, 2021, the idol appeared on SM Entertainment's "SM Halloween House," where SM artists dress up and engage with each other. In the party, NingNing wore a Black Swan outfit, sporting a black ballet skirt, dark eye makeup, red lipstick, and a shiny crown.
Netizens also compared her looks with Jennie, since she also wore an outfit that contains Black Swan's elements, during BLACKPINK's "Lovesick Girls" promotions.
