Recently, there is a hot method of taking a photo that is becoming popular among idols and it is the so-called, " inception selfie"!

In particular, this is like an upgraded version of the mirror selfie, but this time, you would be using your front camera. Mirror shots were usually done using the rear cam, but "inception selfie" is when you switch your phone to selfie mode and turn it upside down, facing the mirror.

The next step would be doing the pose that you desire and that's it! Note that what you want to achieve here is the effect of capturing three images at a time; one from the mirror, the middle from your phone and the third one is the reflection of your phone in the mirror!

Although some MZ gen has been doing this before, it wasn't known among idols and fans until ITZY Chaeryeong did this. The trend then became even bigger once TWICE Nayeon and aespa Karina followed the selfie method.

Eventually, the latest trend "inception selfie" started to spread among K-pop idols and celebrities, adding aesthetics to their respective Instagram feeds.

As its popularity continues, K-pop enthusiasts and netizens then started discussing which idol understood the assignment best!

Starting with one of the proprietors of the selfie method, ITZY Chaeryeong proved she's truly a selfie master by doing this trend from a different angle. At one glance, you wouldn't realize she's actually taking her photo in front of a mirror due to its natural appearance.

Following her, aespa Karina also rocked this trend wearing an all-black outfit. Indeed, the idol is like a CG, but this time she's more in the casual and chic mood.

TWICE Nayeon is truly a trend-booster as the selfie method became even more popular after she joined the trend! She's playful in her photos, but her top-tier visuals can't be denied!

Former MOMOLAND turned actress Yeonwoo is also earning praise for her inception selfie. The front camera usually has lower quality than the back cam, but Yeonwoo proved her high-quality beauty by making her picture feel like it was taken for a pictorial!

Along with the aforementioned, VIVIZ SinB, IVE An Yujin, ITZY Lia also stood out with their photos.

But not only female idols were game at doing this trend since male idols were also at it!
