Fantagio Releases Official Statement Regarding ASTRO Moonbin's Passing
On April 20 KST, Fantagio has dropped their response to Moonbin's passing. Initially, the sudden news was first announced by the police authorities.
Fantagio firstly expressed their sadness over the unfortunate news. The agency confirmed the details released by the Seoul Gangnam Police Station and extended their condolences to everyone who were affected by Moonbin's passing.
The agency also sympathized with fans who gave their unconditional support to Moonbin. Fantagio encouraged everyone to refrain from speculative and malicious reports. This is to pay respects for Moonbin's bereaved family and friends, who were greatly impacted with sorrow.
They also announced that Moonbin's funeral will be held discreetly, and will only accommodate his family, close friends, as well as his colleagues in the agency.

First of all, we would like to apologize for this heartbreaking news. On April 19, our artist Moonbin of ASTRO has suddenly passed away, and has now become a star in the sky.
His fellow artists here at Fantagio are also mourning with his departure with sorrow. Although the grief cannot be compared to Moonbin's bereaved family, who were affected by his passing.
This shocking news is even more painful to announce to fans, who gave their unwavering support and love to Moonbin. We are overly aware of how much the late Moonbin gave his love to AROHAs, making the news even more overwhelming to bear.
We would like to encourage you to avoid speculative or malicious reports about Moonbin's departure. This is to pay respects to Moonbin's grieving family, who were incredibly shaken by this unfortunate news. Moonbin's funeral will be conducted as quietly as possible, with the attendance of his dear family, friends, and agency colleagues.
Once again, we express our deepest condolences to the deceased, who now walked on his final journey."
ASTRO Moonbin Passes Away, Police Releases Statement

On April 19, KST, reports of Moonbin having passed away quickly circulated online, getting the attention of the K-pop community.
The claims were made by the Seoul Gangnam Police Station, who announced that Moonbin was found dead by his manager at his residence on Gangnam district. The manager found Moonbin at approximately 8:10 p.m., and called the police immediately.
In their claims, the police also mentioned that Moonbin appeared to have taken his own life. According to sources, talks of an autopsy were being established to determine the exact cause of death. Additionally, Moonbin was originally scheduled to perform at the Dream Concert, prior to his sudden passing.
"It appears that Moonbin took his own life. We are now currently discussing plans to hold an autopsy, in order to determine the exact cause of death."
