FIFTY FIFTY's 'Cupid' Breaks New Record For Longest Charting Non Collab K-pop Song in UK's Official Singles Chart

Rising K-pop rookie girl group FIFTY FIFTY made another achievement on their career.

On May 19 local time, their viral smash hit "Cupid" has spent its eight consecutive week on the Official Singles Chart. According to the United Kingdom's Official Charts, "Cupid" has made its place on the No. 11 spot.

It also became the first and longest non-collab K-pop girl group song to chart for eight weeks, surpassing BLACKPINK's "Pink Venom," which only charted for seven weeks in 2022.

FIFTY FIFTY first entered UK's Official Charts on March 31, earning its debut on No. 96. With this, FIFTY FIFTY became the fastest K-pop girl group ever to land on the chart. They have also trailed bestselling K-pop acts BLACKPINK, TWICE, and NewJeans.

This was achieved by FIFTY FIFTY in less than five months since they were introduced on the music scene. For April 7 to 13, "Cupid" moved up after climbing 35 places, claiming the No. 61 spot. Afterwards, it spent its third consecutive week for April 14 to 20.

On April 21, the UK Official Singles Charts released their results from April 21 to 27. The group climbed eight spots, eventually reaching No. 26 with "Cupid."

FIFTY FIFTY's Cupid Spends Six Consecutive Weeks on Billboard Hot 100

In other news, "Cupid" has also spent its sixth consecutive week on the Billboard Hot 100. On May 2, the song fell shortly from No. 40 to No. 41. This achievement also led FIFTY FIFTY to be come the only third K-pop act who attained a high ranking, trailing BTS and BLACKPINK.

On its sixth week, the song also managed to claim No. 8 on both Global 200 and Global Excl. US charts. The song also maintained its place in No. 11 at the World Digital Song Sales chart.

On March 27, the girl group debuted on Billboard Hot 100 on No. 100. The girl group has now followed the footsteps of K-pop girl groups Wonder Girls, BLACKPINK, TWICE, and NewJeans. They are also the overall sixth K-pop act to achieve the feat, with BTS's addition.

Meanwhile on April 25, FIFTY FIFTY also partnered up with label Warner Records. Their signing contains the purpose of having them promoted across international audiences.
