On June 25, aespa impressed fans and viewers with their beauty, skills, and charisma on the last day of the water-themed event, Waterbomb Seoul 2023, held at the Jamsil Stadium.

During the three-day festival, multiple artists joined, including Jay Park, Zico, BTOB, Sunmi, HyunA, Simon Dominic, Jessi, Kwon Eunbi, BamBam, Oh My Girl, and more.

aespa also took the stage with their hits "Next Level," "Thirsty," and "Illusion." Aside from their idol skills, the members stunned viewers with their beauty that collectively goes well with the summer.

Giselle captivated fans with her "hot girl" aura, while Winter showed off her lovely and warm side by taking care of NingNing, whose eye could hardly see due to past illness. The youngest member also impressed viewers with her cute and bright image during the waterbomb event.

Among them, Karina, the leader and main visual of the group, stole the spotlight and showcased outstanding face and physique as if created by CG.

Throughout the performance, Karina mesmerized the crowd with her AI-like features that maximized her innocence and sexiness.

However, when her photos and videos circulated on social media platforms and online communities, Karina met an unexpected rumor after people noticed a certain change in her body.

Some pointed out that compared to Karina's usual voluminous body, her bust size seemed to have gotten smaller in her recent appearance at the event.

In a blink of an eye, numerous articles in a popular web forum were posted, accusing Karina of "deceiving" people by creating a "fake" body image to maintain her perfect CG-like physique reputation.

MYs Defend aespa Karina from Rumor of 'Faking' Body Image

The criticism spread like wildfire, but MYs (aespa fandom) immediately took to SNS to defend Karina from speculations about her body.

In a trending post uploaded by a former coordi, they explained that Karina's chest looks smaller because she's actually wearing a compression bra.

Highlighting the idol's armpit underneath the skin, the ex-coordi emphasized how fats were compressed in that area because of the attempt to tighten her chest part to make it look relatively smaller.

MYs also called out those who raised the "absurd" topic and expressed their "disgust," with how Karina was apparently trying to avoid sexual harassment by compressing her bust only to be embroiled in speculation of deceiving fans with a fake body image.
