Sandara Park Exposes YG's Heartbreaking Words to 2NE1 Before Disbandment

The name 2NE1 has etched itself deeply in the hearts of K-Pop enthusiasts, symbolizing groundbreaking music and awe-inspiring performances. Yet, behind the scenes, a tale unfolded that remained hidden from the public eye, particularly during the tumultuous period preceding their abrupt disbandment.

YG's Devastating Statement to 2NE

Recently, former member Sandara Park, also known as Dara, opened up in a candid interview, offering emotional insights into the group's final days while promoting her latest single.

In this revealing conversation, Sandara depicted a landscape of uncertainty and emotional turmoil that plagued the group throughout the creation of their last album, CRUSH. Nostalgia laced her words as she recalled the apprehension that loomed during the recording of their single "MISSING YOU," hinting at an imminent end.

"The company said 2NE1 is over now". I think we're No. 10 on the chart? We were always No. 1, but now we were No. 10. We were sad, and the fans and the agency were sad too," Sandara revealed, shedding light on the difficult conversation that transpired within YG Entertainment.

The lackluster performance of their earlier singles, "Falling In Love" and "Do You Love Me," triggered a wave of concern and sorrow among the group and the agency.

Sandara recounted the poignant moment when the label's executive, presumably YG, uttered the words, "This album isn't going to work. Let's stop promoting now."

This shocking statement cast a shadow of uncertainty upon 2NE1, leaving them wondering if this signaled the end of their journey.

"I'm not sure if it was a joke or something he said because he was upset, but we went to record 'MISSING YOU' after we shared that conversation, and the last lyrics were too much like breaking up," Sandara shared, alluding to the song's lyrics, which echoed sentiments of a painful separation.

The emotional weight was so overwhelming that Sandara and fellow member Park Bom found themselves in tears, spending hours in the recording studio until their eyes swelled.

However, the narrative took an unexpected turn when "MISSING YOU" ascended the charts, claiming the coveted No. 1 position. This glimmer of success brought a sense of relief and joy to the members, who threw themselves wholeheartedly into promoting the song.

Netizens react on the truth behind thier sudden disbandment:
