Jungkook Beats BTS as 1st Korean Act to Spend Most Weeks at #1 on Billboard's Global 200

The "Golden Maknae" has impressed everyone again with a new record!

On Billboard charts, it was revealed that Jungkook's solo track "Seven (feat. Latto)" is continuing its domination on both Global 200 and Global Excl U.S. at No. 1, according to the chart for the week ending on August 26.

This achievement led Jungkook to become the first Korean soloist to secure the top spot on both charts for five consecutive weeks. This achievement alone also highlights how much power Jungkook possesses in international areas and his undisputed influence worldwide.

On Global 200, "Seven" has surpassed BTS's 2020 hit song "Dynamite," which maintained four weeks at No. 1 on the chart. "Seven" also became the first song from a Korean artist to claim five straight weeks on Global 200's No. 1 spot.

Outside of Billboard's Global 200, "Seven" also managed to enter the Hot 100 chart and spend its fifth consecutive week on its Top 30 on No. 30. Likewise, the release also became the first song from a Korean solo artist to spend five weeks in Hot 100's Top 30.

Meanwhile, on Billboard's Pop Airplay chart, "Seven" defended its place on No. 19. The Pop Airplay chart determines the most popular plays weekly over 40 radio stations in the U.S. Furthermore, "Seven" also claimed a spot on the Streaming Songs chart at No. 33.

In other news, Billboard also released their chart for the week ending on August 12. According to their chart, it was reported that "Seven" also dominated on Global 200 and Global Excl. U.S, placing No. 1 on both charts.

These entries made Jungkook to become the first-ever Korean soloist to spend three consecutive weeks on both charts' No. 1.

In Hot 100, the track also claimed the No. 30 spot, including it into its Top 30. This entry led Jungkook to become the second Korean solo artist to earn three straight weeks on the chart, trailing the legendary performer PSY.

For its third week on the Pop Airplay chart, "Seven" made its way up on the list's No. 20. It also maintained its No. 6 on the Digital Song Sales chart and No. 31 on the Streaming Songs chart. Moreover, Jungkook entered No. 57 on Artist 100 for his seventh non-consecutive week.
