Junwon Left FANTASY BOYS After Not Getting 1st Place Benefits? New Claims Against Trainee's Mother Arise

Trainee Yu Junwon, who almost debuted in HYBE's &Team, also failed to debut under the upcoming group, FANTASY BOYS.

Here's the alleged reason he won't be joining the team.

PocketDol Studio Accuses Junwon's Mother of Power-Tripping: 'Even interferes with airport fashion...'

Amid the discord between PocketDol Studio and trainee Yu Junwon, a new claim has been made against him and his mother.

As a short context, Junwon was supposed to debut in the 12-member group FANTASY BOYS after winning first place in MBC's survival show of the same name.

However, ahead of their debut, PocketDol Studio, who will manage the team, announced the cancellation of his debut after leaving without permission.

As a response, Junwon clarified that he left with the knowledge of the company after they failed to come up with a reasonable contract that was just for both parties.

Since then, things escalated so quickly that even the trainee's mother was identified as one of the external forces that became a reason he wouldn't be debuting in the team.

On August 24, PocketDol Studio even accused Junwon's side of "power-tripping" and leaving the debuting lineup after not getting "1st place perks" compared to other members.

The company told SBS Entertainment News:

"Junwon's mother demanded better profit distribution conditions than other members and excessively interfered with the agency's work."

They continued:

"Even though Junwon is an adult, not a minor, he's the only one who signed the contract together with his mother, and he strongly demanded us not to tell his son but tell her the details of the contract."

Not only with the contract but the company claimed that the trainee's mother even interfered with the group's airport fashion and pointed out the members' rankings, even though there are stylists and field staff handling these works.

Junwon's mother reportedly complained at the airport that Junwon wore pants that did not fit his body shape, held a bag that was not a luxury brand, and failed to stand at the "center" among some of the members in the photo even though he won the final first place.

As a response to this, PocketDol Studio stylists denied discrimination speculations and said:

"None of the managers or stylists has ever thought of the word discrimination. Since we have sponsored clothes, the members had to wear (top and bottom) together because the top and bottom were connected.

Finally, I tried to make him wear a shirt from company B, but it was changed because he said he would wear something else. Each staff member is working hard to get the best results."

Yu Junwon's Mother Denies Power-Tripping Accusations

On the same day, SBS News asked for Junwon's mother's position and said:

"I asked them to change Junwon's pants at the airport because it didn't suit his body shape, but it wasn't accepted, but when I heard that another member was able to change his pants the next day, I asked (the director) to find out."

In an email sent by Junwon's mother on the 19th, she also highlighted:

"Even though (Junwon) won first place, I express regret that they pointed out Sungmin at the center when taking pictures after airport fashion or interviews in Japan."

Recently, Junwon appointed a legal representative and filed an application for a provisional disposition to suspend the validity of the exclusive contract with the Seoul Western District Court.
