(G)I-DLE Under Fire for 'Rowdy' Behavior Overseas + Neverlands Step Up to Defend Group

On September 25, a netizen established an online discussion regarding (G)I-DLE's behavior in public areas overseas.

According to the post, the author insisted (G)I-DLE to be mindful of their actions. One action consisted two of the group members allegedly riding a scooter together, which many deemed as dangerous.

The OP then pointed out a separate incident, where a member was shown to be sitting on top of a suitcase in the middle of a moving travelator. It then concluded with the author also calling out the group's managers.

"Even if (G)I-DLE is touring overseas, I hope they pay attention to what they do in the future. Fans are always praising them for being cute whenever they act like that, but riding on an electric scooter with two people like that is f**king dangerous.

The fact that they also climb on top of their luggage bag is also dangerous as well. It looks like their managers aren't even checking up on them either."

With the post having gained 129 plus upvotes, it immediately garnered buzz across the K-pop community, which led netizens to express their thoughts on (G)I-DLE's actions. The post was invaded by netters who expressed both their dismay and worries.

  • "(G)I-DLE always gets themselves into controversies, but people always let them slide."
  • "Do people really think this is cute?"
  • "Even if they got hurt, they'll end up doing it themselves. It's not it. They should fix their actions because they are being eyesores."

However, in a separate platform, (G)I-DLE's fandom Neverlands took their stand against the negative claims. Fans dismissed the author's post and netizens' remarks as a whole, while others mentioned how the "hate train" is starting because of a nearing October comeback.

  •  "It must be a slow day for scandals. Wow, panngirls are scraping the bottom of the barrel."
  •  "Look how hilarious this is, it's a whole bunch of nothing."
  •  "This post is so random. Are they having a comeback?"
  •  "They will release 'HEAT' on October 5 with the title track 'I Want That.' I think admin is an anti, so I'm also curious if they're anxious."
