BTS Jungkook Rumored to Be the Man in Viral Video + Dating Speculations Ensue

A viral video on Weibo circulated, where a man is hugging a woman intimately inside an apartment. The video is said to be taken by a sasaeng from Brunnen Cheongdam, a private, upscale complex with 3 to 4 units per building.

Along with the clip, rumors also claim that the guy in the blurry video is none other than the global superstar BTS Jungkook.

One "proof" includes the idol's long hairstyle, which he had earlier in 2023.

In the video, a black dog was seen, and since Jungkook has a Doberman dog, Bam, the speculations that it was the idol strengthened.

Lastly, fans, especially Chinese netizens, analyzed how the video matches Jungkook's apartment, from its windows and furniture. The sofa and color-changing lamp often seen in Jungkook's apartment during his live broadcast were also emphasized.

As a result, Jungkook was embroiled in a dating scandal with a younger woman, whose identity hasn't been confirmed yet.

ARMYs Debunk Rumor, Claim Video Was Posted by Sasaeng & Anti-Fan

Amid rumors, ARMYs (fandom) remain calm, and even checked the video's authenticity.

Upon watching, fans debunked the dating rumor and made a statement about how Jungkook trusted his fans so much that the video became a medium for anti-fans to spread fake news about him.

First, it was hard to even claim the guy was Jungkook due to the quality of the video.

Second, fans claimed that the house setup was arranged and replicated by haters to spread false rumors. Also, they emphasized that Jungkook never opened his window and it was always covered with curtains; thus, it is impossible for the idol to be captured outside his window, let alone hugging a woman.

According to the idol's fans, anti especially spread the rumor amid Jungkook's promotion of "3D" MV to divert fans' attention.

Rather than addressing the dating speculation, fans want HYBE to take action against the potential sasaeng fan who could be following Jungkook even to his apartment and might invade his personal space and privacy.
