The decision by several members of Pentagon not to renew their exclusive contracts with Cube Entertainment was officially announced by the entertainment company on October 9th.

In a detailed statement, Cube Entertainment revealed that the termination of exclusive contracts with Yeo One, Yan An, Yuto, Kino, and Wooseok followed extensive and open discussions with the members.

The company expressed gratitude for the collaborative journey of the past seven years and requested warm encouragement and support for the departing members as they set out on a new chapter.

Yeo One, one of the departing members, provided further insight into his decision through a heartfelt handwritten letter on the same day.

In his letter, he articulated that his choice not to renew the contract stemmed from a desire for a fresh challenge, aiming to showcase a better side to Universe, the fandom name associated with Pentagon.

Yeo One's comprehensive statement reads as:

Hello, this is Pentagon Yeo One. It's already been 10 years since I was a trainee with

Cube Entertainment, who started everything with me . I would like to express my sincere congratulations to the Cube Entertainment family who have supported me both materially and spiritually despite my shortcomings over a long period of 10 years . As always, I felt that a new challenge was needed to show a better side to Universe , our members, and those who support us . Although I am saying goodbye to Cube Entertainment, I will always be with Universe as a member of Pentagon just like now. I sincerely thank and love Universe for sharing the happiest moments of my life and will continue to be with me in the future. As a member of Pentagon, I will always work hard and grow so that Pentagon can shine in any situation . I will become Yeo Chang-gu and Yeo One . Thank you.

Despite the contract terminations, Cube Entertainment reassured fans that Pentagon's collective activities would continue.

Yeo One, in particular, assured supporters that even though she was parting ways with the agency, she would remain a part of Pentagon, maintaining his role as a member just as before.
