Only 6 Kpop Idols to Rank #1 in TC Candler's 'Most Beautiful/Handsome Faces' Through the Years: Nana, Tzuyu, Nancy, V, More!
In the history of TC Candler, only six K-pop idols were crowned as "Most Beautiful/Handsome Faces in the World." Who are they?
Every year since 1990, TC Candler has selected and announced updated rankings of the "100 most beautiful faces in the world."
From actresses, idols, celebrities, models and personalities, 20 reliable independent critics around the world carefully curate the list.
Various factors such as beautiful visuals, elegance, and nobility are said to be considered as determinants for the lists, in addition to their popularity. While it was initially centered only among females, later on, a category for "Handsome faces" was also released.
1. After School Nana
Among idols, After School Nana became the first K-pop idol to ever top the "100 Most Beautiful Faces in the World" in 2014.
Boasting tall height and a proportioned body on top of her perfect facial features, the idol, model and actress once again topped the list in 2015, protecting her sear for two consecutive years.
Nana was listed in the Top 100 for 11 years and proved her unwavering presence in 2023 by ranking 15th.
2. TWICE Tzuyu
After about four years since Nana reigned in the TC Candler's list, another K-pop goddess graced the rankings, who is none other than TWICE Tzuyu!
Since her debut in 2015, the female idol impressively ranked high at #13 for a rookie, and she continuously rose in the rankings in the following years. She ranked 8th place in 2016, 3rd in 2017 and 2nd in 2018. It only took her three more years to earn the crown in 2019.
3. BLACKPINK Lisa

In 2021, another K-pop idol succeeded Nana and Tzuyu, and it was thanks to BLACKPINK Lisa!
Since her debut in 2016, she also consistently ranked in the list by TC Candler and after six times, Lisa's top-tier beauty was finally recognized and ranked No. 1!
4. MOMOLAND Nancy
Among K-pop stars who have occupied the "100 most beautiful face in the world" rankings in 2023, MOMOLAND Nancy finally dominated the list!
Since 2018, she has been listed for six consecutive years and became No. 2 in 2022. After a year, she went up one notch and finally reached the peak of the list.
5. BTS V
In the male category which started in 2013, BTS V became the first-ever K-pop idol and Asian to be hailed the "most handsome face in the world" in 2017.
It was a legendary feat since in 2016, BTS V was only ranked No. 60, impressive jumping 59 notch to reach the top of the list!
6. BTS Jungkook
In 2019, the "SEVEN" singer was hailed as the "world's most handsome face" and became the second K-pop male idol to ever top the rankings following BTS V.
He first appeared on the list in 2016 at No. 55 and jumped to No. 13 in 2017. In 2018, he ranked No. 2 and finally became No. 1 in the following year.
