1. LE SSERAFIM - 'EASY'

This may be the most recent encore stage to earn backlash among K-pop fans.

2. TWICE - 'MORE & MORE'

This encore stage went insanely viral in South Korea, but for all the wrong reasons.

On June 10, 2020, TWICE won first place on "Show Champion" and performed an encore stage for "MORE & MORE." While all members earned flak for their live vocals, one member was at the forefront of the hate train; and that member is Momo.

During Momo's part in the first verse, Momo earned backlash for her singing skills, with people commenting that she sounded unstably and nasal. Momo herself appeared shocked by how her voice came out, laughing after and looking over at her members.

People believe TWICE's performance on the charts for future releases was greatly impacted by the situation.

3. ENHYPEN - 'Drunk-Dazed'

During the start of ENHYPEN's career, they sadly faced a huge setback after this encore stage.

On May 4, 2021, ENHYPEN won first place for "Drunk-Dazed" on "THE SHOW." As customary, ENHYPEN performed an encore stage for their win. During the encore stage, the members were seen jumping happily as they performed, appearing pleased by their win.

However, netizens were critical of their vocals. It was noted that they were unstable, off-tune, and breathy as they performed. The members also skipped some lines while performing, which many found unsettling as they were not performing choreography.

4. BTS Jimin - 'Like Crazy'

It's hard to believe a BTS member would face hate over their vocals, but Jimin sadly had to face this reality.

On March 30, 2023, Jimin won first place on "M Countdown" for "Like Crazy." At the time, Jimin faced backlash on social media due to his off-key performance. Some slammed the idol, claiming he is tone deaf since he was unable to match the pitch of his own song.

5. IVE - 'ELEVEN'

Though IVE hit big from the moment they debuted, they did face some backlash. Many were critical of the girl group's talent.

On December 8, 2021, IVE took home their first win for "ELEVEN" on "Show Champion." Though the members were highly emotional during the win, that did not stop people from criticizing the girl group. It was noted that the members missed most of their parts during the stage, and some were unable to hit the right notes.
