K-pop icon G-Dragon is preparing to host his first official solo fan meeting in February 2026, marking a significant milestone in his nearly 20-year career.
The 37-year-old artist, whose real name is Kwon Ji-yong, has never held a formal fan meeting under his own name despite decades of solo activities and world tours. His agency, Galaxy Corporation, confirmed that plans are currently under discussion, though specific details about the date and location have not been announced.
The upcoming fan meeting comes approximately two months after G-Dragon wrapped up his record-breaking "Übermensch" world tour in mid-December 2025. The massive concert series began in Goyang, South Korea, in March 2025 and concluded with three encore shows at Seoul's Gocheok Sky Dome.
This achievement represents a watershed moment for the artist, who has maintained one of the most dedicated fanbases in K-pop despite his intermittent release schedule.
The tour achieved unprecedented success for a Korean solo artist, drawing 825,000 fans across 39 performances in 17 cities worldwide. The Seoul encore alone attracted 54,000 attendees over three nights.
The tour spanned multiple continents, including stops in Asia, Oceania, North America, and Europe. Tickets sold out within minutes of going on sale across most markets, demonstrating his continued global relevance.
The "Übermensch" tour supported G-Dragon's third solo studio album of the same name, which marked his comeback after an eight-year hiatus from the music industry, Malay Mail reported. The album debuted at number one on the iTunes Top Albums Chart in 28 regions and sold nearly 640,000 copies on its first day of release.
While BigBang held fan meetings as a group, the last official event took place in 2016. A brief gathering following G-Dragon's military discharge in 2019 was not considered a formal fan meeting.
The February 2026 event is expected to offer fans a more intimate experience compared to his large-scale concerts. Unlike typical arena productions featuring elaborate staging and pyrotechnics, the fan meeting will provide opportunities for direct interaction and personal storytelling.
Fans have expressed overwhelming excitement about the announcement, with many hoping for additional dates in multiple countries. The event represents a rare opportunity for supporters to connect with the artist in a more personal setting after years of primarily concert-based interactions, as per allkpop.
