Former NewJeans member Danielle will host her first live broadcast on Monday at 7 p.m. KST to address fans following her removal from the group.
The livestream will air on Danielle's personal YouTube channel and Instagram account, marking her first public communication since ADOR terminated her exclusive contract on Dec. 29, 2025.
Her legal representatives at Law Firm Hwawoo LLC stated the broadcast will allow Danielle to express gratitude to domestic and international supporters, share personal updates, and exchange greetings with fans in real time.
The agency emphasized that the session is intended purely for direct fan communication and is unrelated to ongoing legal proceedings, according to the Korea Herald. During her time with NewJeans, members only used the group's official Instagram account, but Danielle created independent channels after her departure. Her new Instagram account quickly gained over 240,000 followers as fans anticipated her first solo appearance.
ADOR announced Danielle's removal last month, citing contract violations including entering into agreements that conflicted with her exclusive contract, engaging in unauthorized activities, and actions that harmed the company's reputation. The agency stated these issues were not corrected within the given timeframe, leading to contract termination, Star News Korea reported.
ADOR also announced plans to pursue legal responsibility against one of Danielle's family members and former CEO Min Hee-jin, whom the agency blames for the dispute and delays in the group's return.
The agency has filed lawsuits seeking approximately 43.1 billion won ($29.5 million) in penalties and damages against Danielle and two others. Danielle has appointed her own legal counsel and is preparing to contest the claims.
The situation follows a prolonged dispute between NewJeans members and ADOR that began when former CEO Min Hee-jin was dismissed by parent company HYBE. Members initially demanded her reinstatement and later claimed their contracts were terminated due to alleged breach of contract. Courts ruled in ADOR's favor on both injunction and validity confirmation cases.
While Haerin and Hyein returned to ADOR last month, followed by Hanni, Danielle's removal leaves NewJeans as a four-member group with Minji's status still under discussion. Fans have continued calling for Danielle's return, but agency statements suggest such a scenario is unlikely, as per the Korea Times.
