Eunhyuk Of Super Junior Speaks Out Against Only13ers Petition Calling For Limiting Appearances Of Super Junior-M's Zhou Mi And Henry

Eunhyuk of the band Super Junior voiced his support for two members of his band's sub-unit Super Junior-M on Saturday at the group's Super Show 5 in the Singapore Indoor Stadium.

"I'm in front of you again because I have something to say. I hope you all won't misinterpret this," Eunhyuk said, according to the website Daily Kpop News.

"We truly support [Zhou Mi and Henry of Super Junior-M]...I hope you support them as Super Junior M members also."

Eunhyuk made the comments in response to a recent petition by a group of Super Junior fans calling themselves The Only13ers.

The group is calling on Super Junior and their management to limit the activities of Zhou Mi and Henry performing or in any way being associated with the band.

"We demand SM entertainment to clearly define the boundaries between Super Junior and guest members," the Only13ers online petition reads.

"Zhou Mi and Henry are members of Super Junior-M, not of Super Junior."

Currently we fans are not satisfied with what is going on with the Super Show 5 World Tour and Henry's promotional activities of his single, which blur the boundaries between 'Super Junior' and 'guest members,'" the petition continues.

"During Super Show 5 in Seoul [back in March] for example, there were 29 performances in total and the guest members took part in 12 of them. While we understand that the guest members do performances of Super Junior-M and special stages, we consider their participation in 6 songs of Super Junior as an intrusion on the boundaries of Super Junior."

Other Only13er demands include:

"Guest members participate in the subgroup's activities only and do not sing Super Junior's songs or do opening and closing remarks together in concerts. Super Show is Super Junior's concert," and "guest members introduce themselves as Super Junior-M's members for all occasions."

At Saturday's concert, Eunhyuk silenced the boisterous crowd in Singapore when he returned to the stage after Super Junior's performance to voice his support for Zhou Mi and Henry.

"[Zhou Mi and Henry] are not official Super Junior members [but are] official members of Super Junior-M," Eunhyuk explained.

"There won't be any changes with their positions, nor will they promote with Super Junior in official activities such as participating in Super Junior's albums or Super Show 5 poster photo shoots."

"We have a close friendship with them and wanted to support them as fellow family members," he added.

When Super Junior-M was formed in 2007, similar online petitions circulated among fans of the band or E.L.F.s (short for ever lasting friends), according to Singapore Showbiz.

And although Super Junior's record label SM Entertainment has confirmed that there are no plans to add Zhou Mi and Henry to the band, Eunhyuk said they simply wanted to involve their label mates in the show.

"[Zhou Mi and Henry] wait for hours in the waiting room after performing their solo songs," he explained.

"[We] thought it'd be nice to get them up on stage for not all of Super Junior performances, but those with fan interactions."
