Glee Season 5: Will Lea Michele Leave The Show After Cory Monteith's Passing?

With the tragic passing of "Glee" star Cory Monteith, the show has many things to consider, like delaying the season 5 premiere, and preparing for Monteith's girlfriend Lea Michele to decide whether to stay on the show or not.

As reported by Perez Hilton, Fox execs and presumably the creative team met yesterday to discuss the future of season 5, and a source claims the September 19 premiere date will likely be pushed back to November "to let everyone breathe."

While production was originally slated to begin next week, Monteith's death will likely mean major rewrites.

In addition, the possibility of Lea Michele leaving the show for season 5 after the loss of her on-screen and off-screen boyfriend is very high.

"Lea is going through hell right now. She had her whole life planned with Cory--he was her prince charming. Even though he hadn't proposed yet, Lea was positive they were going to get married and have kids together, there was no doubt in her mind that Cory was her soulmate," says a source to Hollywood Life.

"When he went to rehab, she was under a lot of pressure to end it with him - but that wasn't even an option for her, she said she would never leave him, she couldn't imagine her life without him.  And since Cory came out of rehab, he seemed to be doing great. She thought everything was okay with him again--everyone did. I really don't know how she's going to get over this; it's just an inconceivable loss."

Given that the couple met on "Glee," and everything Cory Monteith brought to the show, will the actress return to the show, or will "Glee" lose its most iconic couple in season 5?
