B2ST, f(x), Girl's Day Join The Lineup For Kim Jang Hoon's 'Gyeonggi-do DMZ Concert'

Popular rock-ballad singer Kim Jang Hoon has announced the first set of artists that will participate in his upcoming 'Gyeonggi-do DMZ Concert' next month.

So far idol groups B2ST, Girl's Day and f(x) have been revealed to have confirmed their plans to perform at the event produced by the veteran singer.

Ahn Sung Ki, Choi Min Soo's Band 36.5, and rookie K-Hunter have also been added to the first lineup list.

The second list of acts will be unveiled at a press conference on Wednesday, according to a representative for Kim Jang Hoon's concert agency, Concert World.

"We plan to continue adding to the lineup by inviting about 10 more acts from various areas," explained the rep on Tuesday morning. "We'll announce the second lineup list on July 24, the day of the press conference."

The whole artist list is expected to be very diverse and "will most likely include people who contribute a lot to the meaning of the concert and overseas artists," say Concert World.

Many other details will also be revealed during Wednesday's press conference including the planning and production process and the meaning behind the show.

"The press conference will mostly be about how we prepared for the DMZ Concert and will provide a preview of what is to be expected," said the Concert World rep. "Kim Jang Hoon will explain about the entertainment as well as the meaning behind the concert, including the issues surrounding North and South Korea."

The details to be discussed will include how the singer contacted cultural groups in North Korea with the intention of making the event a true peace concert.

After Wednesday's press conference, the company intends on launching a global promotion plan for the concert which will take place on August 3. Admission to the Gyeonggi-do DMZ Concert will be free.
