NSYNC Reunion Tour Denied After 2013 VMAs Performance: Chris Kirkpatrick Says He Is 'Too Old' Making Kevin Hart Right?
While denying an 'NSYNC reunion, Chris Kirkpatrick admitted he is "too old" after the 2013 VMAs performance and taking a jab from comedian Kevin Hart.
During a radio interview with Johnny's House in Florida, Kirkpatrick confirmed that there will be no reunion tour or comeback album for the boys of 'NSYNC.
"This was for Justin to get the Video Vanguard Award," said Chris, according to US magazine.
Within Timberlake's 15 minute VMAs set, 'NSYNC did a quick performance of their classic hits "Girlfriend," "Gone," and "Bye, Bye, Bye."
Following their onstage reunion, Kevin Hart bashed everyone in the group except Timberlake. The comedian claimed the boy band was a bit rusty and accused Joey Fatone of farting.
"Justin Timberlake just killed it. Dude he just performed for twenty minutes," said Hart. "I know N'SYNC was pissed off because he only had them do one song. They were out of shape too. Joey farted. He farted."
Hart's implications might be accurate because Kirkpatrick did admit to being worn out.
"Honestly, when he talked to us I thought we were just coming out with mic stands and singing," he said the 41-year-old. "When I came home from rehearsals my girl's like 'Why are you drenched?' . . .I'm too old for this! I was so worried about not messing up for him."
In a Monday sit down with Ryan Seacrest, JC Chasez also killed the 'NSYNC reunionrumors.
"No . . . it was just about five guys who were great friends who spent 10 or 15 years together touring and we wanted to give that back to our fans, but we were there mainly to support Justin," Chasez, 37, said. "Literally, two minutes after seeing everybody you feel like no time has passed."
Lance Bass, 34, also second the notion to the Associated Press.
"It would be lovely to do [a reunion], but we've got nothing planned," said Bass. "Who knows what will happen when he's off tour. It's simply not part of the conversation right now. We just focused on that one performance .If we did anything like that, I think we would come up with something real special where we could actually call it 'The Reunion.'"
