Global Icon Had To Change Their Title Track Due To Profanity, 'We're So Disappointed'

With many K-Pop girl groups coming under fire lately for risque concepts, overly-sexualized imagery, and barely-there stage outfits, rookie group Global Icon (GI) is a breath of fresh air.

Their tomboy concept doesn't lend well to T&A, but that doesn't mean they are without their own controversial 19+ ratings.

The group recently revealed that their new single "ㄱ" was not the title track they had originally planned on.

On September 3 GI revealed their first mini-album titled Tremendous, but originally they intended to promote "Don't Lie" as the title track.

The song was produced by NACO and features additional rapping from renowned hip-hop artist Dok2, but due to excessive profanity, was deemed unsuitable for broadcast.

"We prepared the song for a while," explained Global Icon's agency Simtong Entertainment. "We are so disappointed that we can't put on a good stage because it was banned."

The girls' label did however add, "But "ㄱ" is a great song, too. So please look forward to it."

So while we won't have the pleasure of seeing GI perform "Don't Lie" on TV, the song is still included on the EP and is worth checking out!
