"Sherlock" may be on hiatus, but that doesn't mean fans can't enjoy some Sherlock and Watson gay fanfiction!

As many fans may know, the trend of fantasizing Sherlock and Watson as a couple has grown more intensely with Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman on the BBC hit series.

After a recent slew of set photos were released for "Sherlock" season 3 featuring Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman, fans have found quite the hobby in photoshopping Sherlock and Watson as a gay couple, much like the photo above.

And it seems the Sherlock and Watson gay fanfiction have grown in droves.

But it is not only Sherlock and Watson who are getting the claim to fame thanks to "Sherlock."

Recently Empire has released their "100 Sexiest Movie Stars" for 2013, and in the men's category, Benedict Cumberbatch has topped the field!
