Block B's "Very Good" MV Review: Yay or Nay?

Block B has released the single, "Very Good," off their comeback third mini album. The album was produced by the group's leader Zico and fans are overjoyed that their favorite boys are back and kicking. Their newly released video was jam packed with action, new looks, and a whole lot of Block B spice we all love and adore. For starters, the song is a fast tempo pop song that'll be huge with fans and K-pop lovers alike. Visually, the music video is a hit. It's innovative, in your face kick-ass, and all the scenes were insanely well-designed and put together. Stylistically, the boys are looking better than ever. The only problem I have is to how similar they're looking to G-Dragon's style and choices. You could make the argument that not every single time an artist dresses fashionably out of the box or rocks insane hairstyles, it's mimicking G-Dragon, but I can't help but point that out! Aside from the emulation, I'm digging the direction Block B is going down. Instead of becoming another cookie cutter boy group, Block B is going against the grain and tasking risks both stylistically and musically.

As for the music video, while I like the concept, we know it's been done a million times before, but that doesn't mean that the way they executed it wasn't creative or good. Overall, I enjoyed the entirely of the video but I did have a slight problem with the bank robbing opening scene that literally matches exactly up the bank robbing opening scene in "The Dark Knight." I would've liked to see the intro be more original instead of copied right from a film. Aside from that slight problem, Block B has got loads of energy and presence. I'm excited to hear what their third mini album sounds like and what they have in store for fans.

"Very Good" gets a yay from me!
