2NE1's Dara Still Remains 'KAPAMILYA', Looks Back to Her Philippine Roots

2NE1's Dara updated her Twiiter account by posting a photo of herself wearing a military uniform. On her uploaded photo she wrote, "Corporal Sandara Park! Going to Hong Kong to perform. Reporting for duty! Salute!!! I will return safely!!"

She also followed up her tweet with a Filipino phrase, "Ang hindi marunong lumingon sa pinanggalingan ay hindi makararating sa paroroonan."  (He who doesn't look back to where he came from will not get to where he needs to go.) The phrase strongly emphasizes the need to be humble on whatever achievements/accomplishment that life has been given and never let pride to get into your head.

Dara for those who didn't know is a product of the reality show in Philippine network ABS-CBN "Kapamilya" Star Circle Quest in the year 2004. From then on, she struggled to stay in the competition and landed 2nd place.

But from then on, many projects has been offered to her. Sandara was even asked by reknown Filipino director Laurenti Dyogi , "Why do you really want to be a celebrity?"  She replied truthfully, "I want to be popular and I want to have fans." Check out this video:

Dara gives gratitude to the network that once made her popular in the Philippines and ABS-CBN is proud of what Dara has achieved for the past years. Now ABS-CBN is celebrating its 60 years

ABS-CBN Kapamilya posted a message to Sandara and Hero Angeles, thanking them for being part of the family.

The 'Pambansang Krung Krung ng Pilipinas' (The Nation's Krung Krung) Dara's popular brand name in the Philippines replied, "Happy 60 years Kapamilya! :) #Kapamilya60years I'm still a Kapamilya~!!!"

Sandara is also called "Sandy" when she's in the Philippines. Having Dara achieve her dreams as part of Korea's popular K-Pop girl group 2ne1 makes all Filipinos proud.
