J.Y. Park is Getting Married; Does This Mean the End for His Singing Career?

So as you all know, J.Y. Park is getting married on October 10 to his dream woman that is 9 years younger than him.

You are probably thinking "will he stop writing songs", "what will happen now that he is married?" Your mind may be thinking of all sorts of questions about what he might do once he gets married this Thursday. It is a surprise and one that Park Jin-young knows himself. Maybe he will continue writing songs and produce one for his new wife who is not a singer. Probably he might work with other talented singers and help write songs with them; or retire and live a happy life and have kids with his wife. These are all ideas getting thrown out there; J.Y. Park likes to surprise his devoted fans so we will have to see what he does.

Though if he does decide to end his singing career, let's explain his legacy so far as well as who this great talented singer is.

Name:

Park Jin-young also known as J.Y. Park or JYP and born on December 13, 1972 is a singer, songwriter, dancer, actor, record producer as well as the founder and CEO of JYP Entertainment which is a major artist management and record label of the Korean pop music.

Biography:

J.Y. Park was born in Seoul, South Korea where he graduated from BaeMyung High School as well as earned his Bachelor's degree in Geology from the prestigious Yonsei University.

Career:

Park is best known for his songs "Don't Leave Me", "Elevator", "She Was Pretty", "Honey", "Kiss", and "Your House." This guy founded JYP Entertainment in 1997 and is where he did numerous composing as well as producing for several singles and albums in South Korea. Not only this, but Park also worked with great stars such as Rain, g.o.d., Park Ji-Yoon, Byul, Wonder Girls, 2AM and PM, Miss A, JJ Project, and 15&.

Park made his debut on the year 1992 by being called as "Park Jin-young and the New Generation." Then on 1994, the star debuted as a solo singer for his new album titled "Blue City" which featured the song "Don't Leave Me." The song was so great that it became successful; this is where it all began and what launched his career.

J.Y. Park released a total of seven albums and after "Blue City", his second album titled "Tantara" came out in 1995. From there, Summer Jingle Bell was in 1997 which featured his other hit song "She Was Pretty."

Then in 1998, his fourth album which featured the song "Honey". All the way until 2007, he took a hiatus until coming out with his seventh album "Back To Stage" which featured his song "Kiss." Park kept his status as a successful artist as well as composed and produced over 31 charting singles and 25 albums for various K-Pop singers. You all know him being featured in the Wonder Girls MV for "Nobody"; so this is one group in-which he worked with.

Not only did Park stay in South Korea, he travelled to the United States to produce songs with Will Smith, Mase, and Cassie. With his awesome English, he was able to work great with these three singers in the US.

December 3, 2009, Park released his single titled, "No Love No More" which was a great song. April 22, midnight in South Korea, both Park and Ga-In released a duet titled, "Someone Else." These affectionate song quickly became a hit once it was released and fans of Park as well as Ga-In loved it. After two years, on April 28, 2012, J.Y. Park released his new single "You're the One" which he wrote for his new wife that he will marry. Now we are in 2013 with probably his last album titled "Halftime" which features his great hit, "Had Enough Parties."

China Disaster:

With his great music legacy so far, Park has done volunteer work and established a project with movie star Jackie Chan. On May 2008, China was hit by a devastating earthquake and Park worked with Jackie to form a project named "I Love Asia."

Acting:

Park has also acted in some Korean dramas which was in early 2011 by making his acting debut in "Dream High" for which he received a nomination for "New Actor of the Year" at the Baek Sang Arts Awards. Then in 2012 of January, he was on the sequel for "Dream High 2." Finally, he was in a film on 2011 titled "Five Million Dollar Man" by playing as Choi Young-in by having the mission to hand deliver 5 million dollars. He worked with Jo Sung-ha as well as Min Hyo-rin and the movie was released on July 19, 2012.

With all these activities as well as his career and music legacy; if J.Y. Park does decide to retire, he will be missed by his fans as well as by the other stars. Let's not hope he is done and will continue writing as well as collaborating with great idols.
