Can Topp Dogg Be the New Top Dog in K-pop?

My initial reaction to Topp Dogg's "Use Your Words" is that there are just too many of them. I mean we've seen this before with Super Junior, SNSD, and EXO but when will this overabundance number of people trend in one group going to stop? I am so distracted in trying to figure out who's who that I'm not paying attention to anything else.

I like the song for starters. There's a hook towards the end that has like a techno, electronic music beat that makes the song worth listening to. The chorus is catchy, and repeating "malo" and "follow" constantly will sure get people hooked. It's hip-hop with the typical K-pop choreography and it'll get people tuning in.

Am I impressed by the video? Absolutely not. With all the teasers and buzz, I was hoping for a video that would "wow" me, but instead I found myself constantly looking down at the time to see when it was going to end. At this stage in the K-pop game, if you're going to debut as a rookie group, your agency has to do it bigger and better than everyone else. To me, the music video just looked like some medicore dance video that did nothing for me except give me a headache.

As seen from the past we all know that big groups work. Will Topp Dogg work? Yes, but they've got come out with more advanced material.

I give this music video a nay.
