MBLAQ Lee Joon Confirmed For New Movie, "Botox" Filming To Start Next Month

MBLAQ member Lee Joon has apparently decided to keep his acting career going.

The 25-year-old idol singer has been confirmed for the lead male role in a new romantic comedy, tentatively titled "Botox."

The film's storyline follows a romance between a young man and a woman in her forties.

According to a press release on Tuesday from the movie's production company, Studio East, Lee Joon will play the character of Gun-ni, a sweet 21-year-old guy completely devoted to Young-sook, a 42-year-old writer played by actress Park Jin Hee. The latter then goes through an inner struggle as she figures out how to deal with the romantic confession from her much younger lover.

Botox is based on a popular web comic of the same name and the film's script was written by romantic comedy pro Hwang Mina.

Studio East also revealed that filming for the new movie is scheduled to kick off next month and the completed project will hit theaters sometime next year.

This means a very tight big screen schedule for the MBLAQ idol who is in the midst of promotions for his most recent movie Rough Play which opened in theaters across South Korea last Thursday.

Veteran actress Park also recently finished starring in MBC 120-part epic historic drama "Heo Jun, the Original Story."
