The Sex Factor: Miss A Goes from Being Independent Women to Sirens In 'Hush'

Miss A is sexy and tempting in their comeback for 'Hush'.

Miss A has delivered a strong comeback with a very adult image in their music video for Hush.  In the video, each member resembles an automaton that is brought to life, with the sole pupose of seeking satisfaction.  The imagery is shocking, regardless of how the members were portrayed in the teaser images or the preview of the music video.  Most disconcerting to audiences is the fact that Suzy, who is known for her clean cut image, is included in the hyper sexual concept.

The sensuality of the video is pervasive from the lyrics of the song, the styling of their costumes, and the choreography. This is in direct contrast to the 2012 release I Don't Need A Man, which very much like a response song to Super Junior's Sexy, Free, and SingleI Don't Need A Man was the breakout hit from Miss A's fifth project which was aptly titled Independent Women III.  If I Don't Need A Man was intended for Miss A's younger audience and to promote girl power, then Hush serves as a more mature view on relationships.

Hush will mark the first time since the inception of Miss A, that the group will release an album that does not contain songs composed by label founder, J.Y. Park. Although, varying reasons were provided, the songs contained on their full length album will be composed by songwriters other than J.Y. Park. The lead single, Hush is composed by E-Tribe and marks a fresh sound for the group.

Although, fans were disturbed by the lack of participation in the songwriting process by J.Y. Park, it is obvious that the concept behind the album and the release will contain a different dimension for Miss A. As Miss A is a Chinese and Korean concept group, it is will definitely be interesting to see how audiences react to this change of image.
