After member Hongki gave fans a rather unique taste of the new album, Korean band FT Island has finally released their highly anticipated fifth mini-album The Mood on November 18.

Along with the music video for the EP's title track "Madly," FT Island delivered yet another powerful display of their talent and unique brand of pop rock with The Mood.

"Madly," an emotional modern rock ballad with a strong hook, serves as the first step in FT Island's latest journey through song.

The tune is about a broken-hearted man lamenting the loss of a former lover.

For the new title track, the group switched gears having Jonghoon (not the usual Hongki) take on the lead as the devastated main character.

In September, FT Island marked their sixth anniversary since debuting with the release of a special EP, Thanks To, dedicated to all their supportive fans.

The Mood, however, is the group's official fall comeback and fifth mini-album release. It contains four tracks, with members Jonghoon, Hongki, and Jae Jin each composing one of the album's songs.
