Once Upon A Time Season 3 Spoilers: Tiana Of 'Princess And The Frog' Joining Series? African-American Female Casting Goes Out For Episode 14!

As "Once Upon a Time" season 3 continues, spoilers continue to roll in, including one that has fans all abuzz!

According to a recent spoiler by TVLine, casting is beginning for a potentially recurring character who will be introduced in episode 14 of "Once Upon a Time" in season 3.

"For Episode 14, the show is casting the possibly recurring role of a teenage African-American female who comes across as skittish and timid, having had her naturally curious and determined spirit tempered by years of crippling fear," writes Matt Mitovich.

"That said, when put to the test, this lass can reach within and summon the strength to be a hero."

Although there are some choices within the Disney canon of female characters who are also minorities (Pocahontas, Esmeralda from "The Hunchback of Notre Dame," Kida from "Atlantis: The Lost Empire"), there is one definite choice for this particular role: Tiana from "The Princess and the Frog."

For those who do not know, Tiana is the female heroine from the 2009 Disney movie set in New Orleans. A 19-year-old waitress who is a bit of a workaholic and often forgets about things like love and family.

The idea of "Once Upon a Time" bringing in Tiana has been a discussion before season 3 even began, and now spoilers seem to hint that it could become a reality.

"That's got to be Tiana, right? The show definitely needs some minority presence, so hopefully Tiana sticks around for a while," writes Mike on TVLine.

"I hope not! Tiana is such a great, strong character, that I'd hate to have her reimagined as 'skittish and timid.' Agree with the need for more minorities though!" replies Kate.

If this casting is indeed for Tiana, would you be excited?
