Kristen Stewart 'Patient' With Rob Pattinson Bruised Ego [VIDEO] 3 Other Celebrity Couples That Overcame Cheating Scandals Similar To KPats Shame

Whether you're in or out of Tinsletown, patience is always a virtue.  Kristen Stewart is proving she's capable of using caution with Rob Pattinson's emotions after she publicly humiliated him during the colossal KPats cheating scandal of 2013.

Kristen, 23, is eager to go public with their recently rekindled romance, but is emotionally intelligent enough to know that she must tread lightly with the British actor, 27, who wants to keep their relationship private for now.

"Kristen would love to go public with her new relationship with Rob, but she isn't going to force him to do anything that he's not comfortable with," a friend of Kristen's explains.

"He has been very adamant with Kristen to keep everything hush-hush between them," the friend adds. "Even though Kristen wants to go public, out of respect for Rob, she will continue to keep their love for each other to themselves...at least for the time being."

Rob needs time to heal his bruised ego after photos of Kristen nuzzling up to her 'Snow White and The Huntsmen' director surfaced around the globe in May after a solid five-year courtship.

Kristen would be wise taking the slow approach, as their relationship will soon be overly examined and the pair need to be in super-glue strong to take on the intense scrutiny.

Cheating scandals can ruin a Hollywood relationship but some couples have overcome the shame and came out on top. What's a little infidelity between celebrated celebs?!

Former President Bill Clinton and First Lady Hillary Rodham Clinton managed to get passed the highly publicized cheating scandal with Monica Lewinsky. In Hillary's memoirs, published in 2003, Hillary wrote that one of the most difficult decisions of her life was to stay with her husband and confessed that initially she wanted to "wring Bill's neck." Ultimately, time and his political assistance as she launched her Senatorial campaign helped mend the relationship between the couple, who have been married since 1975.

David Letterman and Regina Lasko recently faced a $2 million extortion plot stemming from Letterman's affairs with female members of his staff. He issued a public apology to his wife and said of the relationship post-cheating, "Maybe it won't be the same, but maybe it will be different and maybe it can even be better in a different way." So far it seems this approach to reconciliation is working for the couple.

Although never confirmed, Scott Disick and Kourtney Kardashian faced allegations of unfaithfulness throughout the course of their five-year relationship. Kardashian no doubt drew strength from her close-knit family and after two babies the couple appear stronger than pre-allegations.

Although getting over public infidelity seems impossible, with a little time and a boatload of apologies, these celebrity couples have proved it can be done.

Do you think KPats can make it through the cheating scandal or are they doomed to fail?
