The Lakers (7-7) have been heating up still without Kobe Bryant on the floor as L.A. has won three games in a row, all at home. This first of three games on the road with the first stop vs the Wizards will be a chance for L.A. to get its second win on the road. John Wall is starting to shine as one of the premiere point guards in the NBA. He dropped 37 in the loss vs the Raptors and 31 over the Knicks in that victory.

"John backed up (Friday's) game with another really good game for him. Playing the right way, taking really good shots," coach Randy Wittman said. "When he plays and takes what (a) defense gives him, (that) is the prime thing that he needs to do."

Bradley Beal will be out for at least two weeks because of an injured proximal right fibula (leg).

It will be games on back-to-back nights for the Wizards, as they will play the Milwaukee Bucks tomorrow night. It's been a struggle of late for Washington in the first quarter, putting their team behind the ball early on.

"The main thing with this team is the first quarter is big for us, especially on back-to-backs," Wall said. "Any game we want to play in this season, we need to start out with a good first quarter and a good third quarter. That's how you determine if you're going to have a chance to win it or have a chance to fight to the end."

Bryant just signed a two-year extension, keeping him in Los Angeles through the 2015-2016 season.
