Foo Fighters New Album To Be Recorded In January, Dave Grohl Said ‘We’re Doing Something That Nobody Knows About’

After a few months after a hiatus and doing their personal things and after a 2011 launch of album 'Wasting Light', rock band Foo Fighters are set to release a new album that would be very different, which can be expected anytime next year.

In an interview of the band in Rolling Stones, Grohl pointed out that the new album of the Foo Fighters would be something different that would surely surprise fans.

"It's badass. We're doing something that nobody knows about, it's f---ing rad. We begin recording soon, but we're doing it in a way that no one's done before and we're writing the album in a way that I don't think has been done before."

"We actually just started making a new Foo Fighters record within the last few weeks. We've started rehearsing." However, band guitarist Chris Shiftlett revealed: "It was a very short hiatus. We're going to start recording the new Foo Fighters record at the beginning of next year."

Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins speaks about how they prepare for the new album saying that Dave Grohl's ideas are brilliant and he as well is excited for their new album.

"Dave has his brain working overtime, like usual, and he's got a lot of great ideas, both musically and conceptually - none that I can speak of at this moment, but it's gonna be great,"

It has been revealed earlier this August by Foo Fighters front man in an XFM interview about the plans of the new album saying they were already writing songs during that time.

"It's a little way off," Grohl explained. "It's not ready to happen right now, but I think next year is going to be a really big year for the Foo Fighters without question."
