During the interview with the Tributes, Katniss wore her wedding dress which magically turned into an outfit which resembled a mockingjay. Since the mockingjay is deemed as a sign of rebellion, Cinna had to pay for his act.

On the day of the Quarter Quell games, Cinna was the one who escorted Katniss to the Arena. Katniss stepped onto the platform and when its doors closed, Peacekeepers emerged and started to beat Cinna with their batons. Poor Katniss couldn't do anything but just shout as her friend's bloody body was dragged outside.

Katniss, Peeta, Finnick, and Mags immediately became alliances in the vicious Arena. While they were sleeping, Katniss noticed a suspicious fog. Upon sticking her hand out, her hand was severely burned. She shouted so that they could run. Peeta's grotesque boils made him unable to walk and Katniss couldn't carry him as well. Sensing the difficulty, Mags kissed Finnick and walked into the poisonous fog to die. Finnick and Katniss then carried Peeta.

Ravenous baboons soon attacked the group. One of them attacked Peeta but a girl suddenly appeared and saved Peeta. However, her throat was bitten in the process. The group then went toward the beach where Peeta comforted the scared girl. Peeta calmed the girl by asking her to watch the sunrise so that she would forget the pain. Few seconds later, a hovercraft emerged to retrieve the girl's body.

She was then sedated only to wake up and be informed that her beloved district had already vanished.
