One Direction "Midnight Memories" Song "What Makes You Beautiful" is eyeing the number 1 spot in the US Billboard 100 Chart by next week!

Although next week's chart hasn't started yet, many experts (including fans) seem to believe that the "What Makes You Beautiful" song of 1D could be the number 1 single in the US Billboard 100 Chart.

The One Direction boy band, composing of Harry Styles, Liam Payne, Zayn Malik, Louis Tomlinson, and Niall Horan, still have until Sunday to gain more sales of the "Midnight Memories" album.

Music industry experts claim that the newest album from 1D could reach the 500,000 mark. If this happens, the boy band will be having their third number one album.

On top of this, One Direction "Midnight Memories" could also be the pop act's means to reach half-million sales during its first week. This would allow them to reach the status that only US boy bands N'Sync and Backstreet Boys could achieve.

As of this moment, 1D's "Midnight Memories" has been dominating the iTunes Downloads Charts all over the world since its release. It is also currently the most-downloaded album in more than 20 countries.

This is quite a good news for One Direction considering that the album got leaked a week early than its release.

Originally, 1D plans to release its album on November 25. However, One Direction "Midnight Memories" leaked a week early giving fans a glimpse of what the album is all about.

The boy band was said to be furious because of the leak believing it could cost them their #1 spot.

One Direction members made statements about the leak.

Liam told Digital Spy during an interview, "It is annoying because there's this big build-up and it affects sales." He further added, "We really want a number one, so we're just kind of hoping for the best now. Hopefully people will still go out and buy it."

But from the looks of it, many 1D fans decided to wait and buy the album to help their idols to reach the #1 spot.
