K-Pop Destinations: In Pursuit Of "Coffee Prince"

"Coffee Prince" is a classic kdrama beloved by fans. Sampling the drama's charm is easy enough. Here are a few filming locations you can visit.

The Seoul Animation Center is located at the foot of Namsan in Yejang Dong, Jung-gu. While the center offers educational programs and events such as film festivals, it was the center's roof that served as the exterior terrace of Choi Han Gyul's home. The center is located at 126, Sopa-ru, Jung-gu, Seoul. Take Subway line 4 to Myeongdong Station, Exit 1. Walk up the hill along Sopa-ro Road. For more information, call +82 2 3455-8431-2.

You may remember that the best way to get Eun Chan, played by Yoon Eun Hye, to do anything was to feed her. That's why Han Gyul, played by Gong Yoo, asks her to meet him at a Chinese restaurant. That undisclosed restaurant is of the many found on Yeonhui Matgil, or the Street of Flowers. Take Subway line 2 to Hongik University, Exit 5. Grab a cab. It's a 10-minute ride.

You can exercise while enjoying a great view at the same place Han Gyul goes jogging to clear his thoughts. The jogging course at Palgakjeong on the Bugak Skyway is also a popular place to bring a date for a leisurely hand-held stroll.

The course is located at 6-17 Pyeongchang-dong, Hongno, Seoul. Take Subway line 3 to Gyeongbokgung Station, Exit 3. Take a taxi to Palgakjeong along Bugak Skyway.

Sanmootonge is a café set up in the mansion that was the drama home to Lee Sun Kyun, Gong Yoo's composer cousin. If you're an "Eat Your Kimchi" fan, you can check out their recent pilgrimage there at their site. The Sanmootonge café, which also offers a stunning view, is located at Seoul-si, Jongno-gu, Buam-dong, 97-5. Take Subway line 3 to Geyongbokgung, Exit 3. Get bus 7022, 1020, 0212 or 7018 to Buam-dong office. It's a 10-minute up-hill walk.
