Manchester United will face off against rival Tottenham Hotspurs on Sunday, placing two of the English Premier League's closely followed teams against each other.
Manchester United, coming out of a 2-2 tie with Cardiff City, is expected to be the favorite in the match.
Manchester United Manager David Moyes said Wayne Rooney could play every game all season.
"There will be times when we do have to look after him. At the moment he doesn't need it. But I will be looking for any signs of a dip. I look at a lot of other clubs and they have played their players continuously. It's just at United here we've got a squad, we can rotate them, we have got other options. So I think I'll try and just wait. If it [a dip] doesn't come around, I don't need to [rest him] and won't do it," he said according to The Guardian.
"It doesn't really seem to affect him in a way it does others. The point I'm making is I just want to make sure I keep him playing as well as he is doing."
Tottenham Hotspurs, coming out of a 6-0 loss to Manchester City, is slated as the underdog in the match but is rumored to give Manchester United a good game.
Tottenham Hotspurs Manager André Villas-Boas said he is happy for his players after the win against Tromso.
"I am very happy for the players to have bounced back from the defeat against Man City," said Villas-Boas, according to BBC Sports.
"To prepare for that game [United], it was important to get back to winning ways tonight."
