X Factor winner Leona Lewis might be deemed as a hypocrite for bad mouthing twerking sensations Rihanna and Miley Cyrus now that a video surfaced of her attempting the controversial dance move.

The Mirror reported that Simon Cowell's protege suggested that young girls like her niece and god-daughter don't need to see starlets they look up to being overtly sexy.

“Being sexual and in your face is not great for girls who are quite young," said Lewis. "It depends what environment you’re brought up in, but personally I've got a god-daughter and little nieces and I don’t want them to see me acting crazy and naked in my music videos."

Furthermore, Lewis expressed her disgust when she has to bare witness to her god-daughter trying to mimic some of the seductive twerking moves she sees on TV.

“But then when my little god-daughter is watching videos and doing all these moves, I say to my best friend ‘You need to turn that off, she shouldn't be watching that'."

Although she does credit Rihanna, 25, and Cyrus, 21, for being created, she still thinks they are being "young and dumb."

“You can’t blame those girls, who are being young and sometimes dumb. They’re just expressing themselves how they want to," said the 28-year-old. "Girls are not perfect, we all make mistakes."

Maybe Lewis is right. All girls tend to make mistakes from time to time. Even her.

After Lewis criticized her two singing rivals, a video resurfaced of her partaking in the twerking phenomenon.

Lewis also divulged her ideal age for marriage and dreams of being a mother.

“I used to think I’d be married before I was 30, but it’s not going to happen in time," said Lewis. "I can see myself as a mom. My mom was brought up in a children’s home so adoption and fostering is very close to our hearts."

The 2006 X Factor winner might want to start practicing what she preaches before she starts thinking about motherhood.

Meanwhile, Lewis is celebrating the debut of her new Christmas single "One More Sleep."
