LG G2 VS Samsung Galaxy S4: Android-Powered Handsets Pitted Against Camera Specs, LG Flagship Offered $0 Down For Cyber Monday

LG G2 vs. Samsung Galaxy S4: Two famous Android-powered handsets goes head to head in this comparison, with their camera specs pitted against each other. It is important to note that Best Buy offered the Arctic Blue version of the Samsung flagship at $0 down last Black Friday while the LG G2 is offered $0 down with Sprint today.

The two South Korean tech giants, LG and Samsung both decided to go for the same number of megapixels for the handset's cameras. Both devices are boasting 13 Megapixel camera, runs on the Android platform and has 2GB of RAM.

When it comes to capturing photos outdoors or when it is a nice sunny day, it is obvious as is the case with most smartphones that they do well. Looking at the G2 pictures however, they have colors that are a bit deeper with a little more detail than the GS4.

When it comes to the indoors photos or in a dim setting, the difference between the two device cameras becomes very clear. The G2 takes better photos overall than the GS4. When you do not use a flash on either device and have the image stabilization, The LG will have a better focus than the S4. This means less blurry photos. The photos will also have much less grain, more rich colors and higher detail than the Samsung. With the GS4, you will have to try quite a number of times before you can get a shot you are satisfied with.

When you switch on the flash, the GS4 will bleach out people and objects as the flash is a bit too strong. The G2 on the other hand spreads out its flash well throughout the frames so that there is an accurate representation of the subjects in the frames. Both of these devices however take a long 5 seconds to grab a photo with the flash on.

In terms of overall hardware and operating system, the LG G2 has a 2.6GHz quad core krait 400 and Qualcomm MSM8974 Snapdragon 800 chipset. User can pick either the 16GB or 32GB internal memory variants, but there’s no room to expand storage since Micro SD support is not available.

Samsung Galaxy S4, on the other hand, comes with a quad-core 1.6GHz cortex A15 and quad core 1.2GHz cortex A7 processor and Exynos 5 Octa 5410 chipset. The unit comes in 16GB and 32GB and 64GB internal memory variants. All of this can be expanded by up to 64GB Micro SD card.
