Anchorman 2 Movie Release Date: Ron Burgundy Called Canada His ‘Insufferable Boredom’ On His Autobiography After His Visit Up North

Will Ferrell and his alter ego Ron Burgundy is at it again as he continues to promote his new movie to announce his Anchorman 2 movie release date. After showing up in a newscast in Bismarck, North Dakota, he is at it again after going on the trip up north in Canada to continue to promote his movie.

In his faux autobiography called "Let Me Off at the Top! My Classy Life and Other Musings", a creation made by the actor and Anchorman 2 director Adam McKay he said "the insufferable boredom" during his visit across the border.

"Your whole body begins to physically decay. The spiritual life drains out of you," Burgundy writes. "The prospect of death seems like a better alternative than being in Toronto or Vancouver. I usually start drinking, which is what the whole country does."

Ron Burgundy went around Canada and finished his promotional tour in Toronto where he expressed his deep admiration to the city's mayor Rob Ford.

Although Ron Burgundy wasn't excited for his trip, actor Will Ferrell said that he had fun when he was in Winnipeg where he also covered the Canadian Olympic Curling trial on TSN saying:

"people were so sweet and kind of awestruck that Ron was there," Ferrell said.

On the same trip, Glenn Howard, Team Ontario skip, taught him how to skip a rock where he also got excited.

"I did one throw and made it into the blue part of the ring," Ferrell said. "And (Howard) was like, 'Honestly, I've never seen that before.' So I've got some hidden talent."

Earlier this week, he (Ron Burgundy) appeared in a Bismarck newscast, in preparation for a Anchorman 2 movie release date, where he anchored the whole show and read the news like a real anchor would. He was thrilled for the reception that that particular stunt garnered and how fans reacted to what he did.

"I had that idea from the beginning, if we were able to convince a local station to literally allow Ron to be part of a newscast, how funny would that be," Ferrell said. "We had them sworn to secrecy."
