Fast & Furious 7 Release Date: The Death Of Leading Star Paul Walker May Cause A Setback On The Movie’s Release Date

Fast & Furious 7 release date maybe postponed following the tragic death of its lead actor Paul Walker, who plays a vital role on the upcoming film.

Although the filming of the movie is set to go Neil H. Moritz, one of the producers, told TMZ paparazzi on Sunday that, "we're just going to grieve right now, we'll deal with (the specifics) later." This could possibly mean that the scheduled release date would not be followed anymore.

"All of us at Universal are heartbroken," a studio spokesperson said in a statement hours after Walker's death Saturday night. "Paul was truly one of the most beloved and respected members of our studio family for 14 years, and this loss is devastating to us, to everyone involved with the Fast and Furious films, and to countless fans.

"We send our deepest and most sincere condolences to Paul's family."

It has also been reported that "Fast & Furious 7" is now on hold and the creators of the successful movie franchise will still be talking to make some necessary adjustments following Paul Walker's death.

The movie production already started in September this year, but was on Thanksgiving break when the tragic death of actor Paul Walker happened.

Even though a large portion of the movie has already been shot, some major scenes involving its lead actor Paul Walker who plays the role of Brian O'Conner has not yet been shot making it hard for the movie creators to rewrite the film.

Universal Pictures announced previously that July 11 would be the scheduled release date of the film, but with what happened now it's not yet clear how they would handle the unfinished scenes of the late actor.

The writers of "Fast & Furious 7" are now facing a dilemma especially with the manner of Walker's death - a fiery car crash in a sports car - how the writers would rewrite the story would be under scrutiny from the public.

According to box office analyst for Rentrak, Paul Dergarabedian, "It's going to be bittersweet for a lot of people to see Paul Walker on screen racing fast cars knowing he died in an automobile crash," even if the film makes it to theaters on time.

"But enough time is going to pass before the movie is released that I think moviegoers will be ready to see the movie and celebrate his life," he added.
